ABOUT US

Champions of Caring Connection, Inc. (CCC) is a 501c3 charitable organization founded in 2003. CCC is dedicated to meeting the needs of homeless children and families, low income families and foster youth with a collaborative service delivery design in the greater Compton area and surrounding communities. CCC has been operational since 2005 under the direction of Bettye Randle, retired/former Director of Health, Human, Homeless Education and Foster Youth Services for the Compton Unified School District.

 

The leadership and commitment of the Executive Director and the Board of Directors is one of compassion and caring and is demonstrated by their visibility in the community to meet the needs of homeless, low income families and children. 

MISSION

Champions of Caring Connections exist so that we can advocate and support the homeless by providing services for survival.

OUR GOALS

GOAL 1
EDUCATION

The goal is to ensure compliance of the McKinney Vento Homeless Education Act for children/youth in sheltered families.

  • Advocacy for educational opportunities

  • Referrals and resources for basic needs

  • Literacy/Homework Support at local shelters

GOAL 2
NUTRITION

The goal is to enhance food security of low income and homeless families.

  • Food Distribution four times per month

  • Emergency food certificates

  • Emergency gas card 

  • Emergency motel voucher

GOAL 3
COLLABORATION

The goal is to strengthen and maintain partnerships to leverage resources with community engagement.

  • Partner with other agencies for referrals and resources

  • Partner with local school districts to help identify homeless families.
